I mentioned before that I did not take time to appreciate the moon on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival. I was out under the stars, perfectly poised to say hello to Cheng'e -- the astonishingly beautiful goddess who lives up there -- but I was watching Japanese and British fireworks on a Portuguese-style party cruise boat instead. (Yes, now it all makes sense.)
I got some pictures of the fireworks and casinos -- an integral part of the great historical Moon Day, I am sure -- that I want to post before I completely forget their existence.
The fireworks below are making their appearance over the bridge that connects Zhuhai to Macau. Once I get all of my paperwork processed, I can walk over that bridge
and come back.

And this is the bit of Gongbei that is probably trying to appeal to all those people who want to go gamble in Macau, but (like me) cannot:

Where was the moon in all of this? I really don't remember looking at it even once.
