Every package I receive here is delivered to the door by a German DHL delivery guy. Initially, every package also came with a stern upbraiding about my name not being on the mailbox. Fixed that!
Based on experience, I kind of figured that DHL was the only delivery service in town. Hence, I expected to see them everywhere the day before Christmas Eve, offering deliverance to all of us procrastinators who just ordered gifts last night -- or even, ahem... this morning.
And then, these spottings today, all within a scant walk to and from the grocery store:
Yep, even in Germany, Budget is in on the delivery game, at least for Christmas. Should I be embarrassed that I thought these companies were pretty much just a North American thing, and passed packages on to more local carriers outside of the States?
